School Plan for Student Achievement
The academic achievement of students is the top priority of the education system in California. California Education Code sections 41507, 41572, and 64001 and the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) require each school to consolidate plans from all funding sources into the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).

Title I School-Parent Compact
The purpose of Title I funding is to ensure all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach minimum proficiency. Edison receives funding due to the percentage of economically disadvantaged families served by the school, and is a designated Title I school.
Each year, the school distributes to parents of Title I, Part A students, a school-Parent compact (Compact). The Compact, which has been jointly developed with parents, outlines how parents, the entire school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement. The Compact describes specific ways the school and families will partner to help children achieve the state’s high academic standards.
