Student Council Announcements: Read Across America Spirit Week February 24 - 28
Monday - Reading Brightens our World - Wear Rainbow Colors (if you are wearing red, orange, yellow, green, blue or purple)
Tuesday - Our Voices are Better Together - Wear Your favorite band shirt or musical shirt (band image or name, musical notes or instrument)
Wednesday - Books bring out our Wild Side - Wear animal print or something with an animal on it.
Thursday - Reading is All Around Us - Wear a Shirt with Words on it
Friday - Celebrate your Favorite Book - Dress like your favorite book character or Wear a Shirt with a book character on it.
KHC GOALS & CELEBRATIONS:
We raised $7,063.00 in lifesaving donations!
The grade with the most students participating will earn music during recess! First Grade won!
Students who complete Finn's Mission will earn a golden ticket to go shopping! This was passed out on Friday.
The classroom with the most students registered will earn an incentive that will be decided by the winning class! Mrs. Hinze First Grade Class
The top fundraiser bringing in $665 was Mia S who will join us the Fall Fundraiser students as the Principal of the Day!
Additional individual prizes like the jump rope, balls, t-shirts, etc will arrive in about 3 weeks.

The STEAM Family night was so much fun!
Students did a Scavenger Hunt with the STEAM Projects and cycled through 3 Fun Science Challenges!

ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Ms. Lajoy Atkins if you think your child has any Covid Symptoms, needs to quarantine/isolate due to Covid positive, or just for any advice about your child’s illness. You can reach our health tech at atkins.lajoy@tusd.org, or call 310-533-4513 x 2883.
If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent three or more days up to 15 days maximum, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
