Just a reminder that the last Monday of the Month is Walk Your Child to Class (WYC2C) day and in-person assembly. And Every Monday is Edison “Red” Spirit Day.

Freeze Bell - you need to hold on to your balls and stop playing, stop talking and/walking. Walk to class - if you run, you will be getting a referral.

Edison STEAM Fair: Science Fair 2/20. 6:00 - 7:30. Please bring your projects in on 2/19.
Projects due Wed 2/19 or earlier if your teacher is requesting you to bring it earlier to do your oral presentation. Saturday sessions are available if you need additional help.
The STEAM Family night is Thursday, February 20, 2025. Come find out who won the STEAM FAIR and do some fun Science Activities!

KHC GOALS & CELEBRATIONS:
Our goal is to raise $9,000 in lifesaving donations!
The grade with the most students participating will earn music during recess!
Students who complete Finn's Mission will earn a golden ticket to go shopping!
The classroom with the most students registered will earn an incentive that will be decided by the winning class
Kids Heart Challenge update
60% of our $9,000 goal has been achieved. 80 students are registered and 24 families learned hands on CPR. 13 students finished Finn’s mission. Goal is 200 registered. Mrs. Hinze the top earning class so far.
We will conclude our Kids Heart Challenge with the Jump for Heart event on Feb 14 from 9 - 9:45 am. Families are welcome to attend. If there is rain, we will reschedule.

ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Ms. Lajoy Atkins if you think your child has any Covid Symptoms, needs to quarantine/isolate due to Covid positive, or just for any advice about your child’s illness. You can reach our health tech at atkins.lajoy@tusd.org, or call 310-533-4513 x 2883.
If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent three or more days up to 15 days maximum, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
