Award of Excellence for the Intermediate level goes to Luis M 4th grade for his work Imperfection Makes Everything UNIQUE!
Luis has also earned an Honorable Mention at the district level and will be honored at the TCPTA Reflections award night on Wednesday 2/5
Student Council Announcements:
Kids Heart Challenge started last week.
Today during lunch student council helpers needed to organize last week’s prizes, and every Friday until the event.
KHC GOALS & CELEBRATIONS:
Our goal is to raise $9,000 in lifesaving donations!
The grade with the most students participating will earn music during recess!
Students who complete Finn's Mission will earn a golden ticket to go shopping!
The classroom with the most students registered will earn an incentive that will be decided by the winning class
Students that complete Finn’s Mission will receive a Golden Keep it REAL ticket
Calvary Life Church is helping with Fire Disaster Relief: Collection Dates 1/13 - 1/30
Items needed include toiletries, toothpaste, brushes, toilet paper, soap and toys for kids.
Edison STEAM Fair: 1st Place $50 Amazon Gift Card - Two First Place Winners at each grade level TK - 5th
Projects due Wed 2/19 or earlier if your teacher is requesting you to bring it earlier to do your oral presentation.
The STEAM Family night is Thursday, February 20, 2025. Come find out who won the STEAM FAIR and do some fun Science Activities!

STEAM FAIR TIMELINE
January - Turn in your Project STEAM APPROVAL FORM and receive your Free Science Board!
January - There will be some support sessions for families to come work on your STEAM Fair. Dates to be announced.
February 19, 2025 - Last day to turn in your project, but you do need to do an oral presentation so ask your teacher what date that will be.
February 20, 2025 - STEAM FAIR FAMILY night event 6 - 7 PM
Achievement Report Cards available 1/19th.

ATTENDANCE - KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AT HOME IF THEY ARE SICK
In an abundance of caution, please keep your child at home if they are ill. Be sure to contact our school health assistant, Ms. Lajoy Atkins if you think your child has any Covid Symptoms, needs to quarantine/isolate due to Covid positive, or just for any advice about your child’s illness. You can reach our health tech at atkins.lajoy@tusd.org, or call 310-533-4513 x 2883.
If your child is absent for any other reason, please email EdisonAttendance@tusd.org, email the teacher or call the office and dial extension #2.
If your child will be absent three or more days up to 15 days maximum, please contact your child’s teacher and the office for an independent contract to get a work packet and receive attendance credit.
